Black rice is an ancient grain previously reserved only for the Chinese elite. It was historically cultivated only in small quantities for Chinese emperors. Black rice is particularly nutritious and contains several times more protein and minerals than ordinary white rice. It's rich in iron, calcium, zinc, manganese, selenium and B vitamins. King Soba's Organic Black Rice Noodles turn a deep purple when cooked and renders a nutty flavour.
Organic Black Rice (60%), Organic White Rice (40%).
- Bring a pan of water to a rolling boil. Add noodles slowly until submerged. Bring back to the boil and then reduce to medium heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes. Drain noodles in a colander and then refresh with cold water.
